Technical is pas calibration necessary if whole column is changed

is pas calibration necessary if whole column with everything-pas ecu and motor is put in?

Ive swapped a steering column complete ,and did not get it recalibrated ,and it's been fine for a week now.no lights on. Original had torque sensor faulty.

is steering wheel pulling to one side?

Steering is perfect,no pulling,removed both units in straight ahead position,and made sure I did not turn wheel more than a quarter turn while swapping and refitted to cars.(fault transferred to doner car)

Had fault read on steering on faulty car,got it reset,and lasted about a week,light came on steering went stiff,but reset it's self over night a couple of times ,then stayed faulty,so swamped with good car,to eliminate battery and Earth problames.

just changed whole column with everything and drove 20mins and pas was working normally

If the coloumn was calibrated in old car
It wont know difference when in a new car surley?

But torque sensor fauilure is still high in puntos

yea she cant know the difference

torque sensor failure still not as high as pas motor/ecu
