Is it possible to flash-upgrade firmware in blaupunkt car cd in punto mk2?

I have blaupunkt car cd in my fiat punto mk2 like in this picture:

Can someone tell me is there is posibility to flash-upgrade the firmware in this unit and make it to play the mp3 format?If yes,how?Regards.

Thanks for reply.I also have nice car radio mp3 unit with a lot of functions from aldi,but the problem was the unit making my battery completly flat.Is there any solutions like special wiring iso kit for aftermarket radio units for fiat puntos?

Don't connect both the red and the yellow wires to the live (one needs to be switched)

So I can just cut yellow,or red wire from live?Which one is the best to cut and is this will keep memory in unit as well?

One is permanant live and the other is switched live (stereo manual will tell you which is which) the switched live powers the unit and the permanant live powers the memory.

As above, one needs to be constantly live to keep the memory and the other switched with the ignition. Run the switched one down to the cigarette lighter live feed which should be ignition switched

Can You now tell which wire just cut off?What I want,I need to make this unit to not flatting my battery when car is not in use and also I need to keep memory on unit like radio stations and sound settings etc.Thanks again very much.

Are You sure,from the unit I can read the connector a4 is yellow and this is memory +12v and red is a7 as power b+.
