I tried logging on to the new clubcento forum at work today and got an error message. I thought it wsa due to our dodgy network. But just tried to connect from home PC and still not working. Anyone else having problems or is it just me?

It's down. My guess is either the MYSQL server fell over or someone tripped over a NIC.
I think it needs 50p in the meter.

Pretty obvious really -- running mysql on Windows is never going to work anything like as well as running it on a *nix.

Also running a forum on a free mySQL server isnt the best idea in the world. It would be fine if run in the localhost

Nah. What you need to do, when it's up, is register. That way you can log on (although you can't access the member areas) and then PM Top Brake who will let you in to the restricted places.
Otherwise, the admins would spend all their time attempting to communicate to members who they'd set accounts up for.

Ive already registered, every time i log in it says my account has not yet been validated - so how can i send a PM if it wont let me log in
Unless he's turned off the stupid validation since i first registered. Im not talking about the members area, im talking about logging in altogether

tis whats stumped me, no real reason why
Other members registered the same day have been able to log in and post. Perhaps i've p'd off Rob
