"That cover looks like it's been super-imposed"

I think that's a trick of the light. The picture was taken at about 6am on a sunny day in June so gives an odd light. On the original it makes the cover look gold.

Clones!!??

Didn't realise alloys on my HGT were standard (like yours). And yours is yellow too just like mine. But you must have had yours cloned, cos thers yet another next to it in your pic!

Trade off

Mark II's were given air con as std, instead of sun roofs (since not much sense in having both really). Mine is a mark II, though I would have preferred the sunroof!

Wish it was Gold. I could sell it. With the increased money in my pocket and decreased weight under the bonnet I would be well happy.

Pic is indeed from the National Fiat Day in Gaydon last year when mine was parked next to Nige's (woefully inferior ) 155.

On the MKII, as it had Climate Control the sunroof became an option. Personally I think both are complete waste of time as you only need the air con for about 3 days a year in the UK and a sunroof is just another hole to stop leaking.

Personally, I just sit on on an ice pack. Might explain the piles though.

I am surpised you dont have the air con on all the time Al, being such a lard arse lol
If you send me (or anyone else with a parts catalogue) the chassis code (starts ZFA on a plate on the slam panel) we will tell you if its MK1 or 2. The wheels are a big giveway if they are standard too, the two yellow ones in the Gaydon pic (mine and the one to the left with the dented wing where some **** couldnt drive out of a garage without hitting a door) have the 155 HGT wheels. The mk 1 were solid (i.e. no gap in the spokes)
Oh and the MK2 came out in Feb '99 so have a reg of "T" onwards.

My 1.6 Hlx mkII has air con in place of a sunroof. You can just about see the switch in this photo.

Nige do you still miss your HGT when you see this pic.
