Tuning Is a back box worth it?

I'm wondering if a backbox is worth getting on my mk2 punto.

I wouldn't want it too loud, i've heard that you can get ones that only can be heard when you put your foot down, but the engine sounds standard when driving normally. Is there any that people know, pretty cheap like that sort, or any back boxes for that matter...

Last thing, does it bump insurance much?

I personally think they look naff (& my HGT has a Peco with twin 3" outlets).

Everyone knows there's a little engine under the bonnet & the can is just for show. IMHO there are far better things to to spend the cash on.

PS my HGT zorts will eventually get sorted but for now its sooo chavtastic.

Don't mess with the exhaust. Unless you spend the money to get a properly made custom system, you're almost certain to lose some of the already limited power, and it'll sound like it's got a hole in it.
