Has anyone upgraded an ipod themselves?
Im upgrading an ipod mini (first gen) with a new battery and a compact flash hard drive. (its doing nothing so I thought I would give it a new lease of life) The battery works fine, the ipod goes through the motions of restoring via itunes, it says 'your ipod is in recovery mode, please restore' but I get an icon with a folder and an exclamation mark on the ipod's screen. Anyone know how to fix this?
I have put back in the old drive, and now the play button doesnt work :bang:
Can this be repaired or do I need get new button plate?
