Hi everyone,

I have a 2007 Grande Punto 1.9 Sporting with the standard toilet Blaupunkt MP3 cd player with Blue & Me installed.

I'm a bit of a dinosaur with regard to modern tech and so far since owning the car from new, all I've used my Blue and Me for is making calls, however, I have recently loaded music on to my iPhone 4S and have been trying to get it to connect to my stereo without any joy. I have hunted through the net trying to find a guide and there are loads on there but none of them explain how to connect the iPod. They all seem to state problems occuring after connection but not how to connect. I've looked through the car's user manual for the stereo, the blue and me and the general one for the car but I'm either blind or stupid or both cos I can't find anything that helps or even explains how the USB port is used. I can't even get it to connect let alone have a problem afterwards! I've used the standard iPhone/iPod lead but the head unit does nothing and hitting the windows button on the steering wheel just makes the voice recognition ask me if I want settings and just comes up with NO MEDIA.
All the info I have found seems to suggest that prior to 2006 it was an issue to connect to the head unit but everything else suggests that the head unit in post 2006 cars can connect directly if you have Blue and Me and the MP3 symbol on the head unit.

Please help!!!:bang::bang::bang:

Thanks

Dave

IPods and iPhone s don't use MP3, and they don't appear to the car as storage devices. Try putting a few songs on a USB stick and plugging it in. If that works then in may not support iPods. To be honest, my panda has a complete custom sound system so I wouldn't know about the Fiat USB ports!

A2DP is a bluetooth profile. Does Blue and me support bluetooth audio? That doesn't help with the USB problem though.

Thanks for replying folks, from looking around this site and thoroughly through the instruction manual I think I need to buy an iPod adaptor to plug into the USB port before it will work but trying the memory stick first is a good idea so I'll do that first and reply back. Regards. Dave
