Hello. I have purchased a fiat MULTIPLA and I’m having a problem with the indicator. Occasionally maybe once a day when I try and put indicator in at junction/roundabout the stalk will not lock in and activate the lights it keeps cancelling. I then have to try and shift the stalk several times before it will lock in. I have taken it to garage who don’t know what to do as it is intermittent. Is there a part or something that needs replacing. Please please help

Mine did that too. I think it's something in the steering and the auto cancel. I found if you turn the steering wheel slightly, it'll click in. I think it's just a design flaw

It's a Fiat thing, happens in every Fiat I've ever driven from Mk1 and Mk2 Puntos, Seicento, 500. The only one not to do it is the Grande Punto as it uses GM stalks.
Just something to get used to unfortuately. When you approach a roundabout, apply a little left lock while holding the indicator right until you hear a loud click. The indicator should now work normally until you complete your manoeuver.
