I have a 2000 1.6 ELX multipla that has an intermitant fault, every now and then the engine feels sluggish and has a loss of power. (like it is running on 3 cylinders). I have had the car serviced and changed the HT leads. The only thing i have noticed is a crack in the top of the ignition coil pack, any ideas as to what it might be? Thanks

Hi, I know this was ages ago, but I'd love to know if you found out what the problem was - I've got the same problem with my 1.6 16v Multipla except that it's no longer intermittent.

Also, the engine control warning light is flashing and the buzzers going off EVERY 5 SECONDS! I heard it the first time! :bang:

Thanks!

This sounds like it could be the throttle potentiometer (do a search on the forum), which happened to me in a 2000 Multi, and i had it replaced under warranty (car was new). It definitely is intermittent and irritating!

I had mine running on three cyl, and the Beep coming on frequently while driving. Got the code from a Fiat garage that stated faulty injector no.1 and some other misfiring code.

Changed the injector and ran good. Told to be "common" with the 1.6 petrol by the dealership.
