Interior mirror mount

Anyone help?

I previously posted this in the Multipla section

I've just bought an '03 Toad but the interior mirror was missing, I picked up a replacement off t'internet but it looks like it slots onto a mounting plate - presumably bonded to the screen - is this right or does the mirror stem bond straight onto the screen, there's nothing there at the moment?

Plus - has anyone used vinyl wrapping on any of the internal fittings - grab handles, radio surround, console etc - if so how succesful was it?

they normally mount on a lump bonded to the screen,

look on here for such a part..??

I contacted a local windscreen repair guy who chiselled the plug off a screen that he'd replaced, cleaned it up and bonded it to my screen - £20, job's a good 'un
