I'm currently having problems with rear interior lights of my Multipla.
They operate OK when doors are opened and closed but can't be switched on when doors are closed. Manual says they can be turned on.

I've checked/cleaned switches in bulb holder but still no joy.

Any help appreciated!

Mine does the same and i think its meant to be like that , have you noticed you can turn them off when the door is open and they are on but you just cannot turn them on when the doors are closed.

Yes, mine do this too. However I'm sure that you could switch them on with doors closed when I first got it?

Would be nice , ill have to have a play with the light switches by the rear view mirror.
Dammn you its never really bothered me before :D i feel i really want it to work now.

I have this problem too. Originally, could turn either light on or off with doors closed, but now, only the nearside one will come on. Both come on when the doors are open though... and can turn either off by pressing the light

Suspect its the switch in the light itself, but never bothered to try fixing it! There must be a diode or relay somewhere too, so that both operate with a door opening, but each can be switched individually with doors closed.

my lights work when they want to (normally overnight, i'll wake up see the lights on and think crap!! someones broken into it) i then open and close the doors and hey presto they go off.

Sometimes they work when i get in, others not. I have theose little push lights in the door pockets so i'm never without a light lol.

My boot interior lights also flashes when the doors are shut or the boot slams. Oh the quirks of a Fiat!

Some guys i know had a couple of alfa 155'a with light issues and one traced a fault to the main front cabin lights and the other was the glovebox light so i suppose it could be anywhere but i think ill check the earths going to the bootlid through the gromit thing as im bored and im waiting for paint to dry......
