I have just been on moneysupermarket.com and got a quote of £850 for my 1.9 jtd gps last year I only payed £750

I am 25 with 7 years n/c and clean licence :)
I only have one note against me which is I was hit last November by another car they admitted full fault as they had pulled out and spun me around at a t junction as I turned in

I also have my dad on my insurance for piece of mind instead of just using his third party liability on his insurance he is 50 years old hgv driver

I don't have mod's
Do 10k a year
Use it for work
Keep on drive and at factory car park

I would like to know how much other members pay of about the same age and if any one knows how to get it cheaper or a place that will get it cheaper

im not your age by any means (19) but if there's any advice can be offered I would say it is to ring around as many insurance companies as you can.

Insurance quotes are personal to you.

I know someone who is with directline and suggested I tried the same, good idea but when I rang they said they would only insure me third party, didn't even give me a figure for fully comp.

Take a full day out, ring over 20 insurance companies, find the cheapest (although this doesn't mean the best)

25 myself too
2 years no claims
Was hit last year, non fault claim.
This.year I'm paying £800 exactly, as opposed to last year's 950

I rang around, a lot, specially after my renewal came in at £3600...., good luck

The rake who are you threw? Just used confused and got 717. Admiral But I am still waiting for my re-newel from elephant who are owned by admiral and its due 1st July :(

Adrian flux currently, previously Aviva.
So far my history is

1st year Admiral £1408
2nd year Aviva £950
This year Adrian Flux £800

When I rang Adrian Flux it was initially to quote a Volvo 340, which was around 1400, and they asked if they could do anything else so I said you could try my punto ....

Just to note, I am in a HIGH risk postcode...

ring around, play insurance companies off with each other, a good tip is dont necessarily thing that just cause some insurance companies are owned by the same people, their quotes will be the same.

my past insurances have been 2k, 1.8k,1.8k(changed car in 1st year),1.5k,1k and now 900.

im 22, 2years ncb, 2 claims one my fault and 3points.

They're not owned by Admiral, merly the same insurance group, similar thing but different

postcode has a lot to do with it

:yeahthat:

The none fault accident won't of helped either unfortunatly.

I live in north Durham Dh9 I know what your saying most easterly pandas but I said to elephant I had a quote off admiral for 50 quid cheaper last year and he said it was 20 quid coz he looked on the computer at his end and matched it was worth a try Lieing lol
I am going to ring them at break time and see what they say index to know my renewal price Incase I am shopping around for no reason ?
Was hoping after 650 last year it would come down at the age of 25 that's surpost to be the sensible age now isn't it?

That is really high, I'm 21, 3 years NCB, 3 points for an ST10 and 6 points for an SP50 and my 1.9 JTD came in at £630 fully comprehensive.

As the guys say postcode has a lot to do with it but I'm only 8 miles from Glasgow City Centre and I'm doing 18,000 miles per year.

I'd look about cause I'm probably now classed as extremely high risk with 9 points and 2 and a half years before the first 3 are void.

Good luck!

<PEDANT> Yes, they're owned by the same group - the "Admiral Group", so technically Admiral own all the others.
(My Mrs works for them) </PEDANT>

It's actually EUI limited if one must, who trade under Admiral Group plc, who are a group of trading names, which Admiral and Elephant etc are part of, so being owned by Admiral group (EUI ltd) is different to being owned by admiral. Admiral is only a trading name technically.

Got my renewal threw today and it was 780 but gave me 10% discount 702 and then put my voluntarily excess up from 150 to 250 giving total of 310 excess and got it down to 645 fully comp had a ring about and could not get a quote with in 20 quid :)

22 (driving since 17)
5 years no claims
10,000 miles a year
Park on the drive at night
Public car part during the day
Business use

Live in a B rated postcode.

Pay £570, fully comp for a BMW 528i.

Will be going up this year as I have a non fault claim :(.

My Other half is 28 driving a punto multijet HGT group 9 (old group 17) no, no claims discount as she had a non fault claim in first year driving, no endorsement had licence for 10 years but not driven till dec 2010 live near Norwich city centre on road parking annual cost £600

My policy on a 1.3 multijet is £500 a year because I stupidly let it renew last year and didn't get any new quotes the year before I only paid £250
