Hi All,

A thread was posted some weeks ago by a chap offering cheap Insurance deals does anyone know the contact details .

I have searched but cannot find the thread gone back quite a few pages on the forum but just cant see it.

My insurance is up with Chris Knott and renewal is £1000 fully comp on a standard 155 HGT. The compare sites are £1300 Cheapest and i need to get this premium down as much as possible other wise it may be time to get rid of Little Red.

Cant seem to login to Boo either states account locked..

Karl

you wana go to the companies direct, they sometimes do it cheaper.
Directline are normlly good and theyre not on comparison sites.

Im going with admiral in may as i got 2 to insure then.their price is £850 for me and the gf drivin them, not too bad.

Just been on Direct Line and i fell off my seat

£2,364.86 Fully Comp

hahaha 'kin ell how much :0

800 they wanted off me 12 month ago

Well i had a little chat with Chris Knott.

Renewal Premuim @ £1041.00 is what it is cant get cheaper anywhere else.

There's been a 25% increase in premuims enforced by there underwriters and this is happening across the industry due to a large increase in fraudulent claims for accidents and personal injury....

PR1 Postcode in Preston is virtually untouchable for Car Insurance most companies wont even quote, i dont wish to sound racist or anything because i am not, but it is common knowledge that the PR1 area is mainly populated by Asains. The whole Personal Injury Claims culture is driving premiums up for us drivers and its down right outrageous that we should have to pay more for our policys just because some idiot decides hey i wanna few grand think i'll slap my brakes on and let this guy crash into the back of my daddys Merc.....

What is the police doing about it?? Anything?? or are we going to be the ones that have to suffer and grow deeper pockets.

im totally with ya mate,i agree with ya its f***in bulls**t!
ive seen the documentaries in the past about it and couldnt believe my eyes, the scamming fcukers!
and beacause of all this we have to pay the price!

have you tried performance direct tho, maybe worth a call to dave in that link?

Hi yes i sent him a message yesterday, if i aint had any contact back by end of week ill ring him. Hopefully he can sort a decent premium out..

:) see what he says,if its an okish price i can do with one myself in may,see what he can do.

use the people who Im with:

http://www.brentacre.co.uk/

contact by phone only, and trust me they are the cheapest and have a special deal with Highways insurance for modified car policies.

I searched high and low for insurance, and the cheapest i could get it was £1450 as a standard car!! Brentacre sorted it for £825 all mods declared, and its a long list of mods too! Even that guy who posted on here couldn't get any lower than £1500.

Nice one Jords, I will contact them today see what they say.

Well Brentacre came back with £999.95 with a £350 excess on a 155 with no mods apart from 17"s. £250 deposit and £85pm

Just checked through my renewal and seems i got 2yrs no claims so did another gocompare and got Octagon back at £904 but with a huge excess.

Did a Confused search based on 2yrs NC and got £909 with Admiral...

So looks like im staying with Chris Knott and Highway. No deposit just pay premium over 10mths @ £110pm

i would ring brentacre back and tell them what you've been quoted. They use Highways insurance aswell so will be able to drop price for you.

Worth a try if it saves a few quid.

its always getting that deposiy6 together when you go elsewhere tho.So for sake of £20pm may aswell just carry on paying it monthly.
But its upto you karl its your policy :)

I aint got £400 spare this year to pay in 1 go,round so ill be having to pay a deposit :s
Admiral came back the cheapest at £450 2 weeks ago and i can add the bravo whenever.

just gona see what my renewel with CoOp come's back with first,as like karl says i wont have a deposit to pay.

i did the aviva thing. £220 full comp for my 1.8 hlx having 10 yrs NCB helps!

thats where i went wrong when i passed my test at 17 getting my dad 2 insure it fo me..I turned 20 and had to start payin it myself.
ive only got 5 now tho as i got banned and had to start again lol

Got the Daihatsu insured this year with Aviva, (Norwich Union) - who supplied easily the lowest quote. Surprising really, as they've never been close in the past...

Insurance is a bloody nightmare I had a quote on a tranny and it was ten quid cheaper called back yesterday and they tell me its now 170 quid more.
