yes the 1.8 is group 8 im 19 fully comp for £800 so anywhere around that mark or less is good really

feckin hell, im paying a grand for a 1.4 with 2yrs no claims! endsleigh is telling me there is no such car as a 1.8 bravo, tossers so much for their web site

you're probably not naming it right...
a mk1 1.8 is a HLX or a GT
a mk2 1.8 is a 115 16V
try them or just enter your registration it finds it straight away that way!

stu try adrian flux insurance i pay £195 for my 1.8 HLX but i do have 5 year no claims. sure they told me that the 1.8 is a group 7

i think i was 19/20 when i got the car and i was getting quotes of about £1000 for the 1.6 and £1100 for the 1.8, although i managed to talk them down to £880 for the 1.6.
I wouldn't bother with insurance groups, i find them very unrepresentative, shop arounf and play them off against each other.
