Insurance Claim Question

Need some advice folks

My wife, bless her, hit a trolley bay barrier at Asda yesterday and scrapped the rear left hand door and wheel arch of the Stilo. Also the wheel hit the vertical bar and pushed the axle backwards a couple of inches. Not sure exactly what damage has happened but it looks serious, and expensive

The point is, will the insurance try to wriggle out of the claim because the accident happened in a supermarket carpark?

Any help appreciated.

Don't see why they should - after all if's no different to pranging your motor in your own private driveway

Don't see how that would be a reason for refusing a claim - car parks are considered public highway after all.

nah no difference as even if its the supermarket car park its a public area.
another to be aware of is the in and out signs of a petrol station,these are advisory and manditory so always be watchful for people coming in the wrong way!

Another one for me gentlemen, a car reversed over my bike in the car park of a motorway service station (a 2 month old yzf1000 thunderace), no quibbles from the insurance company.
