Hey all, 1997 mk1 punto 55 s, after hitting a pot hole i've lost all the lights on my instrument cluster:

Fuses are ok, I assumed it was a broken connection, possibly an earth lead because after hitting a speed bump they came back for a few minutes.

At a quick look, the main earth stud by the fuse box had worked loose, i've re-tightened it and regained all except the headlight icon and back lighting for the cluster.

I'm away from home without any tools or wiring diagrams, has anyone had this before; if the bulbs are ok what else have i missed?

bad connection on the back of the actual cluster..?

My thoughts as well. The connector at the top left - if looking at the front of the cluster (at the dials) - was not making a full connection, it was clipped into place but not making a full connection on the last two pins. Simple case of pushing it on further (y) Always something simple hey?
