Hi, I'm new to this forum and I've tried searching for similar issues and have come across threads about replacing the LCD screen but I'm not 100% if this is the same issue.

All the LEDs on the cluster seem to work, as in the warning lights and speedo etc, but the LCD is faulty. If you look really closely or shine a light on it you can see that the LCD is showing the correct information, time, fuel etc however the backlighting for this is not working. Because of this I didn't want to just jump and replace the LCD screen in case there's actually a separate bit behind that needs replacing instead.

Please see pics attached (the pic with the headlights off you can make out the current time where I'm shining a phone light on it)

Thanks in advance

From what I can tell from those LCD replacement videos, the backlight is not part of the LCD.
It's the bright yellow thing behind it.

The LCD itself is just 2 mm thick. I doubt they managed to fit a backlight in there.

Thanks guys. So guessing I'll have to replace the backlight then and not the LCD screen?

I'll look around to see where I can get a hold of one.
