Okay, so I went to comparethe"meerkat" and got a minimum quote of £1130 for the T-jet 120 (active, the other trims were quite a bit more) and for the T-jet 150 (active) £1425.

Is that good for a 19 year old with 2 years no claim?

I'm wanting to upgrade from my 1.4 90bhp soon. Does anyone know if Fiat exchanges?

That's a ****ing abomination as far as I'm concerned mate. How much are you paying for you 90hp, currently? I'm paying £450 a year.

I've enquired about a T-Jet 150 at it only increased by about £200. I've just turned 21, but those quotes were done while I was 20.

I'd suggest getting on the phone to your current insurer and telling them you've had a quote for <figure> and if they don't beat it you're going there. It's a very competitive market, and it's you're for the taking!

Don't settle for the comparison sites, they can **** off. Much cheaper by ringing the company.

Currently, I am paying £800 for the 90.

Oh wishminewasorange, it was elephant I got those quotes from!! What is your son paying if you don't mind me asking?

Paying 921 a year, 1 years no claims (started driving in sept 08), 150t @ the age of 23 when I started it and now Im 24 :)

Went through comparethemeerkat.com also and ent up with quinn insurance, 150quid excess too.

Thats the thing you gotta look at bud, set your excess down and youll find alot of companies offer you the same yearly but are happy to meet the excess.

Gotta remember IF you have a crash your excess makes all the difference.. 921 with 150 excess is 1071 as apposed to a 500 excess which is 1421 ;)

We Scots div find that England hard tae rite W/B :D

Moneysupermarket.com got the best quote for my daughters car

Pugot 206 on a provisional £850, all her mates are £1400 to £1700

We pay £250 for a 150 sport

900 this yr he is now 21, but stick you mum or dad on and you should get close to that, sad to say it does depend on where you live.
give it a try nothing to lose (y)

Yeah well my city is full of 17 year olds that think their Corsa's are track cars, so that might explain steep insurance. Hate to think how much more it would be if I said I didn't keep it in a garage... =\

Ehh, anyone know if it would be possible for me to exchange my car for the 1.4 T-jet 120 Sport?
