Technical Inside Temperature Problem 1.6 SX (UK) 2000

When the lowest temperature is selected, the air is cold (as u would expect)
When any other temperature is selected, the air is maximum heat.

Also, the fan intermitently blows at various strengths even in the off position

Is this a Fiat Garage job ?

The heater system and controls are not 'easy' to work on. If you have a Hayes or Porters and are comfortable working on cars then it can be done by yourself. Buy a tin of flush as you will prob have to drain the engine as well.

Its not a fiat problem at all, dont believe the people who tell it is.. I own the exact same car, and my mum has one, and a cousin of mine. They are all fine cars, the heater systems and the temperature problems are fine in ours, but yours could just be faulty, its not the same in any other car.
People sometimes give Fiat a bad name, but its just a fault in your car

sounds like an electrical problem IMO, your best bet is to see if there are certain factors that influence the problem, and call an auto-electrician out. Do you have ac/climate control or just the normal heating system?
