Inner door handle question

I have a mk2 bravo jtd and the paint is peeling off the inner door handles. i remember on my old bravo the handles had no paint on so Id prefer to get some mk1 handles to replace the current ones, to me they look the same just want someone to confirm before i buy them. I tried searching but found endless threads about marea/alfa handles

im 99% sure they were all the same why i say is i broke the inside part of the handle, the part which the actual handle goes onto. i replaced it with a part from a 1997 brava 1.4

my car is a marea 2.0 1998

OK you must have had a sense of humour to get this far. Its now gone wrong but here is a technical (ish) guide on the common ailments and what to do about them.

mk2 has some darker cabin plastics so make sure it matches, other than that it should be ok.

MK2s are not painted. Sounds like the previous owner has been modifying.

Mk2s arent painted but they have a rubberised texture on them, where as the mk1 is just plastic, they are a direct swap. They are both black aswell so they will/should match without any issues.

Im sure the previous owner didn't mod them as he was on old man, perhaps its the rubber coating thats peeling. eitha way theres somthing extra to them as fiat want jus under £10 per handles for mk2 and only £4 for mk1. thanks for the replys
