Hi, new to the forum. Need help.

I have just renewed the engine on my fiat ducato and it will nor start. I have fuel to the Injectors. Does the ecu need to be told that it has a new engine (new Injectors).

It is a 2.0 jtd rhv engine, 2004 model

Hi injector code won’t affect your
Start up for a quick basic diagnostic you’ve fitted different ecu to engine ?, wrong fuel,or pump knackered , a diag check on good reader will show all your trouble

No warnings..?

What rail pressure is it building..?

Will need a set pressure before injection is enabled

Could even be a low cranking speed.. a tow might raise it enough..

Thank you for the replies. I do not have a guage to tell me what pressure is at the rail. I have a basic reader that shows no fault codes.
May try fitting my old pump off the knackered engine (timing belt slipped and piston hit a valve) failing that I will have to succumb to a garage and plug her in?

Invest 50 quid in Multiecuscan, from Gendan.co.uk, and a decent quality Vagcomm lead from them as well. Software is foreign, but Gendan are UK agents and will give super telephone or email support. Not all Vagcomm leads are usable, some cheapo ones are trouble, and if you want a program that will speak 100% fluent fiat, get Multiecuscan. Not all OBD readers are any good- most cheapies are a waste of time and money. The free demo version may do for a start, and enable you to set a laptop up to get best usage settings.

Again thank you for the detailed replies.
No luck again today. Changed the fuel pump, Injectors and now have very little pressure at the rail. Could it be something simple as the FCOS. What is the best way to test it, I guess pull it off and test the volts when cranking. I am defo getting low pressure fuel delivered to the pump and after the pump but not a great deal of pressure....

Come to think I can't recall connecting said Crank shaft sensor cable. I will check in the morning. Please let it be that simple?

Sorted. Crank angle sensor. Man I feel a little stupid but also relieved. Van back on the road. Thanks peeps
