Could you tell me or send me an image of the markings on the sunroof glass? Thanks everyone.I attach an image to help you understand what I'm referring to.

Hello,

What information are you trying to get?
Hello good morning, as requested if possible i would like to know via a written message or better yet via an image, which markings are shown on the sunroof glass of cars equipped with SOLARPLUS heat-insulating glass.I'm attaching another image for clarity, these are the markings I'm referring to.
P.S.: In my previous message, I attached a picture of my car's windshield to show you what I meant by SOLARPLUS.

Yes, got it. But what do you want to know from the markings? What kind of information?

You want to proove it's genuine? It was exchanged? Is it the Solarplus version?
I'd just like to know, if the Solarplus branding is also present on the sunroof glass. I've decided to equip my Punto with this accessory (the sunroof). Being a rather fussy person, I just want to make sure I'm purchasing a sunroof with the correct glass, to match the rest of my car's windows. Do you have a Punto with these features that meets my request? I hope I've been clear.

Yes, you are clear. And that's the answer I wanted.

Check the ePER link on the bottom of the forum banner. That's a FIAT spare parts catalogue. Search window is top left. You can browse by models and categories. Search for a Punto mk1. Then for a sunroof. Then look for the available options :) You'll now if it was available in the Solarplus version, of there was only one for all of them :)

I had a quick look and it seems there were two of them: the one made by Webasto and the other one made by Inalfa. The difference was definiely the length (210 / 310 mm).

However I'm not 100% sure if I'm looking at the correct puntos.

To be sure on your side, search with the VIN, then go to the subcategory from the link and then in the bottom of the list you should see a 'Show all' button, as by default ePER shows only the parts installed on your vehicle. As there was no sunroof, there won't be any listed by default.

Fitting a sunroof is not that easy - check for the parts lists, there are lot of them. And good luck, if you'd go for it ;)

Yes, I was already aware of this👍. Unfortunately, even though the chassis number is entered, the Eper catalog only provides the component codes for that type of vehicle with that specific chassis type. In this case, the catalog doesn't specify which windows the car was equipped with, except for the windshield (the windshield is labeled "athermic"). The rest of the windows on the car remain the same, regardless of whether you enter the chassis number or not 🥺. Yet there were both heat-insulating (Solarplus) and non-heat-insulating windows. Thanks anyway for your interest. 🙏

Yes, exactly, there were two types of sunroofs 👍. Since my Punto is undergoing a complete restoration, I decided, with great effort (both in terms of time and money), to equip it with all the accessories I could still salvage. In addition to the sunroof, there's air conditioning, power steering, and ABS. As for the sunroof, I'm slowly collecting the necessary parts to complete this undertaking 💪. Thanks for the good wishes, I really appreciate it 🙏. Have a nice afternoon. 👋

Hi matteo , I’ll have a look on the sunroof of mine tomorrow and post a photo 👍🏻

Hi matteo , got a photo of the sunroof glass detail but it doesn’t show anything about the solarplus on it , all the other glass is the same too , I’m wondering if this was just for the euro market.
Hi Steve good afternoon, thanks once again for your invaluable help 🙏. Regarding the Solarplus label, a forum member named Simon (another person always available and ready to help me) had a 1995 75 Elx (Uk spec) with a sunroof and Solarplus athermal glasses. Unfortunately he can no longer help me with this matter, as he no longer owns the car, has sold it. Thanks again Steve, see you soon. 🙏👋
