Infinity Reference Tweeters question.

I have had these in my old punto and they worked really well, was wondering what speakers are behind the dash pods? are they tweeters or are they proper speakers? also, would it just be a simple "cut the wire of one speaker+attach it to the tweeter" job?

The speakers under the cover on the dash of the Bravo are tweeters...if you have crossovers then i'm sure they would work...but i'm sure you can pick up a better set fairly cheaply.

the tweeters I have to put in (infinity) have built in cross overs on the cable. should be ok the.

after just looking at the pods closely for the 1st time I am left wondering... HOW DO YOU GET THE COVERS OFF!!!

very delicately....

I replaced my tweeters, had the covers off a number of times and there is a bit of wear on the dash as a result.

Basically, use a thin, flat head screwdriver to prise the front of the cover up (pop some card on the dash side of the screw driver to stop marking). Once you have enough play to get your fingers under the lip, run your fingers round gently until the clasps release and the cover is free - no screws, no problem.

same sort of method I used when removing my vents on my centre console of my punto dash so that I could spray it.
Except what I did was put masking tape over the end of the flat head screw driver.

Just get your finger nails under them

The tweets will need a crossover, the stock ones have the crossover built in. Its a fun job getting them out!
