I ordered an Indy kit b4 I saw what you lot had to say about them. What is it that makes them so hard to fit if they are made out of fibreglass?

I do not have one personally but....
I have been told that they are never the right shape. A lot of shaving is required to get it to fit your car correctly. I've also heard that it cracks very easily.

However, I am no expert on these things (I aint even a novice)

re

mine isnt an indy kit, its the carzone specials one, which i think is identical? but i've had 3 front splitters, all of them fitted perfectly, and everything else fits fine,

only draw back is thatits made of fibreglass, but i dont think thats to bad.

i dont know if the indy kit is made cheaper, hence less quality? but mine has alqways been fine.

yep!

yep, thats the same kit, i paid about 750 for the full kit, including some crappy headlight masks and a DTM front splitter that you could never use cos it would be way too low!

that was about 2 years ago now, prob cheaper now?

go to www.carzonespecials.com i think? lol

contact details on there. theres a guy called Adam Coare i speak to a lot there, he seems a nice fellow! and can prob advise you well!

re

yeah, i know thats cheaper but mine was for the full kit for a brava? it was including the rear boot spoiler front DTM splitter and headlight masks.

that price for the indy kit wont include boot spoiler. but it is a well cheap kit.

but like i said, mine fitted perfectly, people who have complained abut quality have always had the indy kit or whatever? but still prob worth gettin cheaper kit still!

I had a bloody nightmare with a fibreglass bodykit for a mk3 astra that i had before my bravo. The quality was the worst the bodyshops had seen around here. There were chips out of it all over. When I tried to get it fitted I had one quote of £1500 to get it fitted and sprayed and all the other body shops wouldn't even take the job on.

The place i bought it from was a complete cowboy outfit 'RJM MOTORSPORT' in cambridgeshire 'DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE BASTARDS' and they wouldn't give me my money back.
