Induction kit

i have finally bought a green cototn air filter induction kit for my 1.2 bravo and was wondering ifi should just install it as normal in my engine or should i sort sum cold air out? i am more concerned about noise than performance.

If you only want noise then i wouldn't worry about a cold air feed.

If your asking was green cotton a good choice then yes, yes it was i have one and like it, sounds great, how much u get it for? from where?

All air filters need a cold air feed.

It won't cost much and is easy to do.

If you want more noise, why did you waste your money on an aftermarket air kit, you should have simply drilled a hole in your back box.

Darren is right - you MUST have a cold air feed.

Sorry but I disagree.

You don't need a cold air feed for the filter to work. All a cold air feed will do is give the engine cold air to make it perform better for what diffence it makes. 1-2bhp if you lucky

An engine will run without the cold air feed quite fine.

I was running mine without one for 4 months with no problems. The only reason I put one in the first place was because I was having problems with my car revving but that turned out to be the maf sensor.

get some flexible ducting, about 2" across. mtorworld and halfords sell it. secure it in the airflow behind your bumper mesh, and secure the other end pointing at your filter. I didn't fit one, but it already has one kinda built-in.

i aint installed my induction kit yet. do i need to remove my old air box? isnt it connected to the radiator or wateva that is at the front of the cas behind the mesh.
