Hi,

Havent had my bravo long, its a N reg 1.8 16v HLX model, and its absoloutly great, best car ive ever had, but....now i need to start adding things such as induction kits etc, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Is it worth getting an induction kit, how does it sound. What about exhausts?

General advice would be greatly apprichiated.
By the way some of the cars on this site are incredible. Ive already installed 2 x 15" subs and a 1400w amp to run them, its a full install but it doesnt half make the fiat rattle!!!

Sounds Induction

Welcome to the world of fiat and rattles. "SOUNDPROOFING" Buy loads of it strip the car and get sticking

I have managed to stop almost all the rattles in mine (i have 2 rockford power hx2's in the boot vicious vicious things!!) i found a good trick for the boot lid and rear quarters. dynamat them, then stuff each rear quarter with a kingsize douvet 15tog will do(asda do cheep 1's)! Then cut up a single douvet and shove it in the boot lid

the only rattles i have now are from the light in the headliner and a bracket on the rear passenger side seat (will get sorted next time i get the urge to pull the car appart)

as for induction kits they sound awesom on the car i have a k&n on mine but its comming off cos i cant find cheep insurance with it on!

Exhaust

p.s Induction kit + Exhaust will chew your ears off on a bravo! floor it and rally car sounds comes to mind!

Re: Exhaust

I'm not on a comission or anything, but for induction kits and exhausts you should DEFINITELY speak to Nige at Angel Tuning. You cant beat his prices, and he offers what in my opinion is the best exhaust, and probably the best induction kit available for you car!

£270 will net you a lovely supersprint exhaust

and another £176 will get you a carbon induction kit.

You can get much cheaper (K&N) induction kits for half that, but the probably aren't quite as good. the exhaust is definitely the best you can get.

I want to die peacefully in my sleep, just like my gran did, and not screaming like her passengers were!

cheers

That sounds great, thanks for replying.

The angel tuning site is good, but a bit pricey, well have to wait until after xmas before we think about that.

The only problem i have noticed it that underneath the car, the space for your exhaust as not too large, and an oval backbox might not fit to well, but im not to sure.

Also any ideas on where to get a rear splitter from? thanks for the help lads (and indeed lasses)

Rear Box

if you dont want a supersprint exhaust for the car which is quite limited on back boxes go to a nice company called power flow they will make anything you want fit!! http://www.powerflow.uk.com/

my personal reccomendation would be to get the supersprint system and a backbox of your choice off powerflow (powerflow include fitting in the price of the exhaust)

Re: Rear Box

Why would you want to ruin a supersprint with a botch job from powerflow?

Do you mean we are expensive against other people or the good we sell are expensive anyway?
