Induction kit question...

not for me before you ask...

my girlfriends just rung me at work to tell me that her induction kit has fallen off her car so its just the inlet pipe with no filter attached to it...

You think she'll be safe enough to drive to mine tonight to put the airbox back in? (45miles)

probably yes, altho if shes wearing tights (not asking for my benefit!!) tell her to stick them over the intake pipe! works a treat and sounds a beast lolol

My friends drove for i dont know how long until he realised his fell off, he drove a focus and the ECU light came on, no damage, all was fine.

should be alright for a lil journey, mine fell off in somerset somewhere last year and i drove back to kent with no ill effects

if she has a gause of some sort she can shove over the inlet then get Lea to do that to be on the safe side

there are just some people that screw you up and dont give a damn, unfortunately i seem to have found that one!!!

just be careful... in theory no, in practise she should be fine, as suggested, tights or even a sock would be better just to be safe...in reality you should be fine, but its better to be safe then sorry

its ok, I instructed her how to get it back on. She got a lad at work to sort it out for her.
problem is that she has the same induction kit as me only her inlet pipe is something silly like 2" wide :s oh well, all sorted now.

I did LOL...it fell off on the way home as well...bloody thing...

putting pipercross one back on in the morning.

just fitted the other bumper with the badgeless grille from trax...it looks sweet as white wheels now for the win!!

only just got in, had to get the water out cylinder 4 so it starts in the morning when i take it to the garage fingers crossed she gets there.

then went to my nans to work on the corsa, she looks well sweet now, no pics yet as its dark but i'll get some 2moro.

get my pics on a disk and get them sent to wimmy 2moro too hopefully.
