Re: induction kit

the BMC carbon fibre kits that have a constant access to cold air are great for looks and performance but there not loud, as above the gsr kits are apparently good.
the ones that sit on the throttle body like K&N and raid hp are great for sound but suck loads of hot air in.;)

Re: induction kit

Like cossie said, the K&N and raid sound pretty good but are bad for hot air which you don't wont. Some people opt for the novitec air boxes too which are brilliant for keep the air cold.

Luke.

Re: induction kit

here is a picture of my induction kit on my N/A cinq from ebay ha, it works a hell of alot better than my raid filter did, sounds better and its further away from the heat with a more than one cool air ram pipe to try! and get as much cold air to it as possible (y)
50 quid

Re: induction kit

no sorry not selling it just telling you how much it costed, i wouldnt say it was better seen as the other 2 are respected companys but with the right feed of cool air its a good designed kit so you can get good results.

Re: induction kit

was tested on punto but you get same results with a cinq, graphs are in punto section was all done on rr :)
if you come to a rolling road day and buy a gsr kit there you can go on the rolling road before and after to see for your self, you then get a printout to shove down your mates throats if they don't believe your gains too :)

you wont need cold air feed where it sits the air is cool enough, especialy on a hot day, the air outside that a feed brings in can be hotter than it is there

Re: induction kit

see the events section :) make sure you contact gsr (oldschool) and order the kit so he takes it with him on the day though.
they can even put a cold air feed in to show that it make no real diffrence :)

its not going to when its on a RR though is it seen as the bonnet is up and there is more than likely a big fan blowing cold air all over the place ;)
the cold air feed is a senceable idea for the road.

Re: induction kit

well i dont no personally if the kit comes with a cool air feed but youcan get them differnt size's from halfords, ebay, demontweaks, esp designs ok mate ;)

Or get a clothes dryer vent from B&Q. That 5" aluminium stuff. What are you smoking, Dave? How on earth can ambient air temp be higher than inside the engine bay? When it's very hot do you seal off your radiator to help cooling?
