I have a weird problems when I turn my rear window dismister on it makes my indicators stop working and they won't work for a least 12 hours after I leave the car and the hazards don't work either

Gut reaction is you have an earth problem and checking my wiring diagrams I see that the direction indicators and the window heater share the same earth point. I would suggest opening it and giving everything in sight a good clean and see what happens. Failing that see if they have a multipin connector block in common on the earth side and see if everything is ok there.

Have a look under the carpet just below the bottom left hand side of the boot sill. There is normally a stud post there with a multipin connector for lots of earth wires.

i wonder if you have a body computer fault ?
just spent 2 days getting to the bottom of a punto where the right hand indicators wont work unless you put main beam on and stripping down the bsi unit i see it had had a very small accident on the pcb board:mad:

They work perfectly fine it just till I turn the rear window demister on they don't work and then don't work for a while after that until I leave the car parked for a while. A friend said it may be the earth also so ill have a look tomoz if I can find the earth. Also forgot to mention its a mk1 60s 1997 model

right mk1
these had chocolate connectors on the rear light fittings, you could see the connectors bending as the bulbs were left on where they touched the pips on the base of the bulbs
i used to hard wire some of the bulbs to the connector strips and this is probably what you may need to do or change the bulb holder fittings
i suggest a complete new earth from tailgate body to car body too by a hinge
