Hi all..

Right as most of you know, i have the two most different cars on the forum....

One 2.0 16v Fiat Seicento Redtop (c20xe engine fitted)

&

One 1.4 Uno Turbo Seicento (mk2 Turbo Engine Fitted)...

Its come to a point where im desperate to get rid of one for cash reasons, and im not so sure what to do...

If i keep the 2.0 16v then il be looking to reshell the running gear into a new seicento, this way avoiding certain mistakes, and making the car a lot more practical for me (no internal rads, etc)....

The redtop engine i think is lighter than the uno lump, and is a lot easier to get spares and work on in comparrison.

But it means getting hold of a seicento pretty cheap as money is still damn tight!!....

The other option is selling that for pennies... and keeping the turbo...

The turbo is awesome to drive, and has the lovely big dump valve.... Long MOT, and tax... Plus it actually runs now, and is in a road worthy state... (will have it mechanically sound within the next few days once the silicone hoses turn up so i can get the air valve fitted)...

Im half tempted in selling the turbo, with the interior of the redtop (standard sei sporting), and re shelling the XE in a more practical way....

Both have the pro's and con's.... so just after a bit of advice!!

Il be gutted to see either go really...

Id love to see how you could reshell the XE sensibly in a Cento!

I don't think its easy without making it all run too hot, and that'll shorten life expectancys of parts very quickly!

Trust me, its do-able.... i created the non sensible version, haha so if the yellow turbs sells il have to do the mk2 sensible 2.0 sei...

I would suggest a burglary taking the keys and finding them both burned out

You have fallen into the trap of too specialist and unless you find someone to take over a half finished project i.e. cheap you have to break them

the other option is to finish it so it may end up good money after bad, I would say break the red top as it is too specialist and make a good car out of the UT

If it were me, I'd look at selling the turbo one once its up and running, might feel crap getting it working just for someone else to enjoy but as the above 2 chaps have said, you'll struggle to find a buyer for either of them, I reckon the turbo is more saleable as its more practical and has the magic word 'turbo' in it.

Get the 2.0 Sei into the car mags and get some publicity, thats the only way I can see you getting what its cost you.
