Took your advice William. Wire brushed & rust treated the worst bits & gave it a couple of coats of a chip resistant paint.
Just through its MOT. New subframe, wishbones, OSF track rod, front brake discs & pads & a new coil pack. Tracking done too. Not cheap for all of that but it feels like a new car now.
Huge difference. Much much smoother on today's crappy roads.
Had thought of scrapping & starting with a new banger but since I've already done timing belt, exhaust, sump, radiator, front shocks, air box, (that I remember) in the last 18 months since I go it, I reckon I know the big things are now done & there should be few surprises in the next couple of years.
