I rather like it! (Needs white wheels, though!)

Car Builder Solutions do some nice stainless steel mesh (same as you see on Jags and Astons). Pretty sure that's what J333EVO used on Imola Blue.

Looking good. With your tempra wheels they'll never be perfect cast Ali never has a great finish (more exspensive modern wheels might as better more pure casting used) this is down to the casting having lots of impurities in it and also porosity which shows up when polishing as grey specs which will never come out if you go further the specs get bigger leading to a big crater area rendering it scrap so the polisher has to do a bAlance between finish and not ending them as scrap

Mernza has just come out with a new compound that is supposedly a high grade than p175 compound (it itself is an amazing finishing compound) coupled with a swansdown mop of high quality should give a good finish providing the previous stages have been done properly ( which they have judging by the good finish they are)

Mernza m5 compound it is http://www.thepolishingshop.co.uk/acatalog/Polishing_Compounds_Menzerna_Half_Bar.html
This is where I usually buy all my stuff from

I'd suspect a budget of at least 30 per wheel for pro polishing

Also a lot forget that hand polishes are a bit coarser than machine polishes so if you go over by hand then the fine finish from compounds like above is generally ruined although this stuff is said to be pretty good

I was planning on doing that mod to mine however I bottled it knowing if I messed it up then it would be a pita to find a new apron

ill have to look up car builder solutions.. the main problem being.. im a tight ass and didnt want to spend £60+ on some mesh :p

Although as blu73 said over a pm that if ive gone this far as to do the bumpers I may aswell go the extra mile and finish them properly

that imola was the car that made me really want a nice fast cento. I gave member a lift to collect a car from near Aarons house and we popped round his and i spent much time drooling over the imola turbo and his delta intergrale. Little bit after that i bought the grey turbo cinq off Jamie - the very car we went to get from near Aaron's house as it happens lol. Ah memories, that was so long ago now

So no major update.. imola is currently off the road with no mot ( through choice :p) i need to get a few odds and sods sorted.. headlights need alignment, tracking needs doing, rear braided hoses need fitting aswell as the exhaust tip and a small amount of welding in the rear arches and the sump needs resealing so I figured id save some cash over the festive period and get some of the niggly jobs done, also I want to get the skirts back on and the front wings painted.. aswell as the door hinges changed (long story short I bent the drivers door back a year or so ago and bent the hinge = absolute pig to get the door open)

Anyway... some little bits sorted.. bumpers are done and now shes back on her belly lowered and with a small addition... a laguna splitter.. still unsure if I like it and with the car being off the road I havent had chance to see if itll get ripped off..

I still need to get the mesh sorted on the bumpers but thats also on a ever extending list of things to do... along with respraying the skirts and getting them back on..

Also I got these today.. 14x6j et38 4x98 aez radon wheels so hopfully ill be able to get some tyres on them for next year and get them on, I was thinking 185 50 14 yokohama a539s, unless theres any others that anyone would recommend??

in my opinion id never evry evre ervr ever go for toyo proxies again ,, DIRE if there is a slight chance of wet , i burned though a set in 3-4k miles and that wasnt driving like a tool ... , i would much rather Run my sonars over the proxies .. ,, get rainsports 2-3s there EPIC ...i made a mate chance from his proxies to his rain sports , and hes never looked back

how long ago was that J? From what i have read they changed the compound on T1R because everyone moaned they didn't last at all - I used to say the same as you regarding the wear rate but one of my cars came with them on and they are not wearing really fast and they grip is great sun or rain, it feel so so so much more sure footed in all conidtions to my other car which if the same car. That said i do intend to replace them with RainSport3's when they need replacing

Ok so after a few select un educated people slating the car. Ive decided for now its gonna stay, whilst I save some more for the new car :)

So I went ahead and ordered a set of new tyres... uniroyal rainsport2s a set of 4 for now and ill order the 5th when ive had the worst marked spare refurbed

And a nice new set of headlight bulbs to replace the hids.

For now ... the only other plans I have is to get the bottom half of the sump swapped and resealed to irradicate the oil disaster under there :( , fit the rear braided flexi lines

Other plans in the pipeline include a reshell but thats still in the planning stages, hopefully for stanford she'll be upto scratch and finally at a point where im happy to just drive her for the year :)

I actually love haters, it's just proof that someone is jealous and reminds me that what I have is better than theirs lol

Haha exactly.. mine was said to be of 'low spec' lol... basically by someone that has a lower spec engine and bar the fact its gotta cage and harnesses and a light pod on the front.. to be fair.. I think imola blue was the best color and many agree lol.. problem is for them.. im not out to please anyone but myself.. its been a huge learning journey for me and I hold my hands up that I wouldnt have been able to pull this level of modification off 3 years ago without the family/community and advice from the forum

Hopefully in the next few months itll be like a brand new cinq :)
