My bravo HLX stopped dead on me tonight with the immobiliser light on. The car accepts my key code but the immobiliser is still engaged so no spark. Anyone have any idea how I can fix this or is it terminally expensive?Any ideas appreciated.

you mean the key code light?
Have you tried any of you other keys?

imobilised

Sometimes my bravo 1.6 sx would not re-start, particularly anoying when it youve just been going fine and youve parked outside the postoffice and youre already late for work...
In the end I tracked it down to the imobiliser. substituting the unit was expensive so I opted for imobilising the imobiliser - probably not very good for your insurance. If anyone out there knows how to go about fixing a dodgy imobiliser (apart from shelling out 400 quid) i'd love to know.

Re: imobilised

How did you immobilise the immobiliser? For those of us with no red key this would be a very useful thing to be able to do. Presumably you could then add a sensible third party immobiliser?

Re: Re: imobilised

if it won't start you can put in a 5 digit code using the key and throttle to start it. have a look in your handbook.
