my fiat seicento will not start. I was in a car park which is on a hill. The car was turned off and everything else was turned off. I was in the car talking to my friend for a while and then went to start the car and it wouldn't start. I went to the local garage and filled a can up with petrol and then filled my car up. The car still wouldn't start so we think it is my battery. The car is now sat in the car park waiting to have some help lol!
Please helppppppppppppppppppp :)

See if you can get someone to jump start it and then take it on a long drive to charge battery up

If you get it going via a jumpstart you should be able to at least get your car home

thankyou to you both. I will get someone to jump start it and see if that works, if not im not sure what to do.
When i put the key in the ignition and try and start the car it makes a like crrrr sound - not sure how to describe it lol

when my car ran out of petrol i have to fill 2 cans to start it......... like 11quid of petrol

was you near empty before you turned it off?

i think that sound your discribing is the starter motor but its impossible to tell without hearing haha

i have the car working now......filled up with petrol and jump started it

thankyou to everyone :)

Glad you got it running again. Was the sound like a chattering noise? Kind of like a kid making a machine gun noise? If so, I'd get the battery checked at my local motor factors, (not Hellfrauds unless you want to remortgage for a new battery!) could be a cell on its way out and the solenoid isn't throwing far enough to engage the starter.

Glad you sorted it out! It is generally advisable not to let it run short of fuel though.
