for the brake pipe get some pipe stilsons, they look crude , but they are much better on stubborn unions. I have under the must stubborn unions with these. Ok they chew the bolt a bit but hey who's going to see.

Im off to have another go with the last couple hours of remaining daylight.
Im going armed with my tin of oil, more wd40 (just for luck) and my trusty stilsons

duck oil is good, you can put it in a pump spray (no propelent)

Ok so i finally got it all off.
Had to take off exhaust and then the fuel tank so bloody knackered now.
The nipples (ooeer ) would not come out of the brake bias valve so had to hacksaw off the retaining bolts then put it in a bench vice.
Tiny little nipple, mighty bit 18" stilsons!

Tomorrow ill get the new pipes, fit and hopefully book in for MOT.

excellent yes my stilsons must be that size too, take that you basstard nipples!!!

sometimes only shear force will do.at least you got them out.how many times have nipples broke in calipers due to the two metals fusing together,plenty!

Ok, so i now have the new pipes and im going down to put them on.

But i have no idea how much brake fluid i need.
I baught 1ltr and will hope its enough.
Also it was the Dot3 synthetic type, hope its the right one.

Now all the braking system is on, but im having problems with the brake bias valve.
