I would like help with a previous owners bodged ignition wiring job on a 2010 100 multijet Ducato. Please see this .. and thank you all in advance. Even if someone has the same vehicle and can tell me where there wires/colours go if you have it apart atm or point me to a wiring diagram.

Hi Craig

That's a comprehensive bodge ! Presumably either the lock barrel or the switch on the end of it have become unreliable, and the owner has added outboard ignition and starter switches. The key still has to be in place to keep the immobiliser happy. BTW the immobiliser antenna is a coil around the keyhole inside a plastic ring, and connects via two thin wires.

Beats me why they went to all that trouble instead of just repairing it properly.

I attach some wiring data extracted from eLearn. Be aware that wiring colours have sometimes changed, and treat it as a guide. The ignition switch H001 is actually four switches ganged together, this is shown best in the enlarged diagram. It has two separate connectors, A has 3 pins and B has 4 pins with only 3 wired. The wires go off to connectors on either B001 which is the Fuse/Relay/Junction unit in the engine bay on the passenger side (RHD) or on B002 which is the Fuse/Junction unit under the dashboard near the driver (RHD). There is also a wire going off to the starter solenoid via a junction. All the wires are reasonably heavy duty, 2.5 square millimetres cross section for the copper core.
