Ok so the rebuild is going at a glacial pace but progress is visible.
Having replaced the steering column and ignition switch I now realise I don’t know which wire goes on which terminal. (So much for my careful labelling routine when I took it apart). of course the circuit diagram isn’t that much use since it doesn’t e plan which terminal is which. Don’t suppose any of you fine people have any photos or other info that might help ?
in the meantime a few photos’s of Arancia’s progress. And yes - I know the cables in question are poking through the wrong hole into the cabin!
many thanks
Peter

It looks like you are making a cracking job of the car.:)
Re the wiring can you go back to basics, if you know which is the main power from the battery, then using a multimeter see which terminal gradually feeds the others as you turn the key, how many positions does the switch have from off. I assume the starter is still floor mounted switch?
I am sure there is enough 500 owners who can take a photo of the back of their switches, sorry the last 500 I had was in 1978:(
