Hy everybody,

I just bought an Uno with a 999cc FIRE engine with the monojet injection and breakerless distributor with ECU. The car runs perfectly well until it reaches operating temperatur :), but then it loses power or even cuts out in low speeds in the first and second gear [V]. Reading through the other messages it seems to be a fairly common problem with this engine, but I couldn't quite make sense what the most likely cure to the problem might be. Can anybody help?

I have the same problem. I left my car to one of very few FIAT specialists in this country. The car will be back 20 October; I give you a report then. (Seems like I’m the only one to drive a Fiat in this Volvo-country, very annoying and difficult and expensive to get parts)

Recently had this on a Panda. Assuming that everything else is in good order, the first thing to check is the Lambda sensor.
The Lambda on the 1.0ie is the three wire type, Fiat part #7619303, this assuming that you have the 00-280-000-759 ECU.
Rgds.

Whilst you are about it, check operation of the vac advance unit (on the side of the distributor) and the condition of the rubber hose which runs from it, to the inlet manifold.
Rgds.
