I don't think this has been done yet.. i am going to be doing some experimenting on our good friend the good old reliable Ignition Module. swapping it out for "alternate" ignition modules from other car makes / models.

And so may the Quest for a reliable ignition system.... Begin!

So i have decided to delve deep into the realms of the engine bay of Talon (my car) and come up with this schematic:



This is the Fire Engine ignition system (in all its glory!)

I will add to this some more detail on other Ignition modules, how to wire them in so they work on the FIRE engine and drawing up a schematic.

I hope that this information will help any future "seeker of the great spark".. or just a working Ignition system.

I have decided to add all what I know about IM.

Cross reference numbers are in pdf file below.

Here is DIY way to uprade Distributor with contact points to Electronic one - no more burned out/ pited points.

List of specific components is as follows ( sorry it's in portugees, but all should be clear):
