alot of people mention idling on here?

so when the car is running and you dont press accelrate is that idle
if so its meant to maintain at a steady pace right
 
Yup, if the engines cold the engine will idle faster but will level out once the engine's upto temp.

idiling is the engine speed that it mainains whe there is no imput from the throttle

there are just some people that screw you up and dont give a damn, unfortunately i seem to have found that one!!!

You're a bloody idler seb :)

Anyway, Idling is for instance when you are stopped at traffic lights, you have the car in neutral or your foot on the clutch. If you look at the Rev Counter, it should be about 800rpm (just under the "1" on the rev counter). This is the normal idle speed and is known as idling :)

why do soem cars rev muh higher , alot of threads are made abotu those on on here.
 
Are you talking about when the car is sitting at idle or getting booted?
