also if you have a conviction, assuming dvla still have it on record htat will defo increase your premium

but agree with you about hte endsleigh quote, i coudlnt find cheaper anywhere...

i need dvla to sort out the offence code they put on my licence as the code doesnt even exist it supposed to be a lc20 instead they put pr50 .. well i guess i need to pass my test first before worrying to much

Definately try Tesco, they offer really good rates also try direct line, cos i think they are offering NCB to named drivers, which is a bonus

try them without ur conviction, then with.. and see how much it adds.... if its lots.. then maybe better go on as an additional driver for the 3 years... and be a good boy :)

Admiral were about the cheapest for me when I was 19...was about 1300 tpft i think, no NCB. I'd had my licence for 2 years then.

went down to 750 with a year's NCB.

I would have said getting your own insurance policy is something best left til you're 21 or so when it gets a bit cheaper. Just makes sense really if you're getting quotes in the thousands. What are you really gaining by getting your own other than starting your no-claims??

Just sweettalk a parent into doing it and putting you down as a named driver.

have you tried the AA? thats who im with, they were cheaper than all the other companies mentioned in this thread.

also, norwich union are now offering 'pay as you drive' insurance. i dont know exactly how it works but its aimed at keeping costs down for younger drivers, it might be worth a try?

i personally dont think endsleigh are **** been with them for 3 years and have always knocked something off each year. Was paying 630 for my bravo last year this renewal in April is £384

I had been with elephant for two years and when it came to renewing they wanted 1000, I rang endsleigh and they offered me 650 which I took.
You cant say an insurance company are rubbish because everyones circumstances are different

USE THIS BUDDY, Norwich Union PAY AS YOU GO!!! you pay 28p per mile and 13p per mile if you do more than 500 miles a month, i you do less than 800 miles a month, then you only have to pay around £70-£80 a month fixed :). instead of stupid payments costin over £200 a month.

Norwich union PAYG rewards drivers who do between 500 and 800 miles a month WHY? They get cheaper premium than someone doing 450 miles???

On that scheme above, a very experienced driver doing lots of miles is penalised. On that 13p a mile scheme i'd be paying £2,600 a year, and my insurance bill just for travelling to work and back would be £6.50 each day! No thanks!

also, 13p per mile on WHAT car exatly?
surely a 1.4 is gonna be cheaper than a HGT for example?
