General I think I need a roof rack

I have not seen this picture elsewhere, sorry if it has been posted before.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, you could write a book from this one. Where will the hamster cage go, or is it a quail cage.

Kids ready for the beach already, and "she who must be obeyed" is directing the lashing down of the roof luggage.

I guess this was taken in Italy in the early seventies.

About 4 months after Ann and I got married we had to move to Edinburgh (from South London) as Ann had been offered a teaching job there. We moved everything we possessed between us, including the hamster in it's cage, in my 500. Don't ask me how we got it all in because having stopped off for a few days in Suffolk to see my father, we couldn't quite get it all back in!--we had to send a box of possessions up to Edinburgh by post, but initially EVERYTHING went in!
