Stu, French Panda?

ok this I hope will make sense after 2 anda half bottes of Vino rosso or I'll have to sort it in the morning. I have a friend in Dublin who owns a Fiat dealers and a woman from France left a Panda in with him that needed a new echaust and including a kat whicha came to a lot of money, so she handed him the tax book and said to give the car to someone who would make use of it. He thought of me as I save Pandas if I can see I'm gaining a reputation even in the south, do you know I have a ferrari lying in the garage 4 years and Pnadas are looked after better than it, were was I Oh aye frenchy, so it came home with me and I'm still trying to decide what I should do with it.

I have nothing more tomight. I'm off to bed. it's pn my web site I think, well it;ll be there somwere.

I'm not relayy making much sencse am i, Think Stu, Right words, you all think of me, actually I've no idea what you all think of me but I.m sur its "oh not him again" but Pandas are close to my heart and so are you lot as you all look after Pandas, thety own you, and I'm proud to be part of the Panda communtiy, which as I see it is slowly turning into a cult the way VW bettles did. I shold go to bed. its your falt Steve.

Its ok thanks. I'vebeen loaded with the cold all week which was annoying me so thought it would be a good idea to go with the wine as it couldn't make me feel any worse. I know, Norn Iron logic :D

Right back to Panda's.

I got stuck into the blue car yesterday and got everything sorted that I was hoping to do. Seats, steering wheel changed from the French car, fixed the window winder that was broke, sorted the fuel pump, and then I stood back and looked at the 2 cars. The French car looks a lot nicer to me than the blue one, it doesn't feel as tinny either which got me thinking I'd rather be driving it.
The choices are:-

1. Swap everything back onto the French car, get UK lights and an exhaust and put it on the road as a car and turn the blue car into a van still.

2. Swap the engine and all the steering bits from the blue into the French car to make it RHD and turn it into the van then use the blue car for parts.

3. Go ahead with what I'm doing, turn the blue car into a van and use the French ar as a parts car.

I need to sit down and think about this.

You have stripped a panda before....seen the inside where the bits like steering wheel, brake servo etc etc come through??? Any matching holes and mounts on the other side???.......... Errrrr....no.

I converted an Alfa Spider once that didn't have the holes cut. Had to make new mounts and adapter plates. Looking at the 2 cars I see on the RHD there is a bolt in plate for the steering rack to go through but its just a plain hole on the LHD car and they are pretty much in the same place.
I'll look into it and do a bit of measuring.
