sounds like you have lost drive to the wheels,either a drive shaft/cv joint fault,[to check this:have some one put hand brake on and press foot brake hard,start the engine and put it in gear,release clutch and some one else check if one of the drive shafts going to your wheels,turns.if it does there is the fault.] BUT DONT GET RUN OVER. But more likely the gear box needs removing and the clutch/release bearing needs checking/changing.If the clutch is ok ,it only leaves a faulty gear box.
Was the clutch slipping before it packed up?[cluth fault]. or did it go all at once[drive shaft/cv/gear box fault]........mp
