I got bored today, and thought id tart my engine bay up a little :)

that is bloody hard stuff mate int it, i burnt through loads of stuff before i got the hang of welding, and to be honest i still hate doing it since nearly blinding my self lol what did you use ? laser or gas?

I used TIG, as said before.

yeah but you can use alloy sticks with laser now aswell as gas, do you mean u used a mig with alloy wire?

Its easy when you've done enough. I TIG most things now.

shows how long i have been around i knew what tom and rab were on about. dont know about you tom but i tig loads better than i mig so so much more control

i hate mig lol if i was painfully honest i think arc welding is about as easy as it comes lol it just doesnt come any easyer lol

MIG is for tacking before you TIG Just remember not to grab freshly welded parts in TIG gloves, they are not as thick as MIG gloves! OUCH!

tom i totally agree..
ive been tig welding a few years now,and its soo much better.maybe a little slower but the control and finish is 100% better.
plus that pic gives me an idea..lol
