Hi,

Quick question: does the wheel hub nut need to be staked or is the one below fine? My original one on the front passenger side has been ****** up by the previous owner (I'm guessing they had the bearing replaced??). They reused the old nut; staked parts have been broken off and it just looks deformed. (n)

I've just bought this one from Lookers Italia but it looks slightly different; no staking points but it seems to be the right size. I'm guessing you set your torque wrench to fooking tight and no need for staking?

it wont have the marks on until you fit it and make them. how would they know where to put them

Yeah but on the drivers side one, they look like they've been neatly cut during manufacture and then bent down to lock the nut in place.

I'll take your word for it. :p It's not me that's doing the fitting anyway, don't have a socket wrench big enough!
