David here checking in with my Panda 100HP. Been a member of FIAT Motor Club (GB) in the past and currently on FIAT FORUM. Thought it was about time I got round to making contact with local owners. :smt023

Hope to see some of you at Craigtoun Park this year - mind you could be in the Panda or maybe just the GTV as usual. :-k

Yeah the Panda 100HP still seems a bit rare up here so far.

This is actually my fourth FIAT as I have had a Mk1 Punto Sporting, Bravo HLX and a Bravo HGT over the years. Along with an ALFA 156 TSpark Veloce, a 2.0 GTV and my current 3.0 V6 24v GTV.

Got a think for italian metalwork I'm afraid. :roll:

Welcome, so, what was your favorite out of all of them?

Hmmmmm.....always like to think my current car is my favourite car - makes parting with previous cars so much easier. I have heard that some people just think of cars as a means of transport. :shock:

I have fond memories of my 156 - a proper four door sports saloon. really felt I'd grown up when I got that. My first GTV was amazing owing to 'gun slot' narrow windscreen - seemed like a real sports coupe. But ultimately I got the feeling at 150bhp it was underpowered - so traded it in for my current 3.0 V6 with 220bhp - amazing ALFA V6 engine and normally aspirated power on tap - no turbo lag.

In terms of FIAT's the Bravo HGT with the 5 cylinder 20 valve engine was great, but again the Punto Sporting was my introduction to FIAT - brand new in red with the GT's alloys. It did make me want a Mk1 GT turbo though - now that is a proper high powered roller skate.

Must say I'm luvin' the Panda 100HP at the moment - funky, fun and a hoot to drive - everything FIAT are good at in my opinion. :smt023

Ah it's yerself!

I think it'll depend on whether or not the GTV guys will be going up again in convoy or if I'll be on my ownsome this year.

Everbody has seen a GTV anyway.

Mind you I think this is the year for the panda 100HP to make a splash at the Scottish Italian Car Day in the same way that the Gande punto did last year. The Panda 100HP will be old hat this time next year - replaced by the GP Abarth & 500. :roll:
