how will i run

You could run them off a HU, but it would be better to use an amp. You could use either a 4 channel amp or 2 2 channel amps.

A 4 channel is neater, slightly easier to install, less space is taken up, etc.

2 2 channel amps would take up more space and there would be more wiring to install. However, if you have your 6x9s and components already, and the RMS wattages are different enough, a 4 channel amp may not be suitable. In that case, 2 2 channel amps each with the correct RMS wattage outputs would be better.

charsvery muchly, i think i may have to run them from HU for a bit till i got funds for an amp. what you said about the rms and a 4ch amp is what i was thinking when i meant 2x2ch's just to be on the safe side, if you know what i mean.

EDIT: come to think of it, could i run the 6*9's from an amp and the comps. from the HU??

I wouldn't, it would muck up the soundstage IMO, though you could do it.

EDIT: rep please :D

IMO:

The comps should be run off an amp definitely. IF you have a sub, then the 6x9s should be run off the HU as rearfill, or get some 17cm coaxial speakers instead, also run off the HU (if you're gonna cut holes for 6x9s, you may aswell get something made for the job...)

If you dont have a sub, then either 6x9s (or 7x10s, which are bassier) amped up in a stealth shelf is the best compromise

If I'm honest, I wouldn't have rear speakers at all, but it isn't my car :)
