Per this other thread, I am in the process of installing a hazard warning switch and wiring. The last thing to work out is where to tap into the existing L and R indicator wiring. The suggestion was to go to the indicator switch but I can't work out how to remove the stalk set from the steering column in order to have a look behind. I've taken the steering wheel off but I can't see any retaining screws/bolts in any obvious places. The stalk assembly doesn't pull off the stalk, so does anyone have any clues please?

(I also noticed that the little cowling thing is cracked through, so I may have a go at trying to fix that while I'm at it)

Thanks in advance,

Simon

I found another post which reminded me of what it sayd in teh workshop manual

Fiat 500 Column Switch unit removal:
1 Carefully pry off the horn push button at the steering wheel centre using a fine blade screwdriver.
2 Disconnect the positive terminal of the battery.
3 Disconnect the plug in contact in the steering wheel hub.
4 Unscrew the steering wheel retaining nut from the inner column and remove the steering wheel from the shaft.
5 Slacken the bolts securing the steering column support to the body
6 Remove the plug in contacts from the switch unit ensuring that their correct location is noted for reassembly.
7 Remove the switch unit from the steering column.
However, there aren't any pictures and I don't see where "... the bolts securing the steering column support to the body" are

The bolt securing the steering clumn to the body is single horizontal 'pinch' bolt under the dash---it might be covered with a pair of little plastic covers which covers both the head and 'tail' of the bolt. You might need to have the steering column shroud off to get at the bolt.
