This, honestly, is not aimed at anyone here. I find the Forum to be one of the friendliest and most helpful places around; and, hey, if there are disagreements (which there are always going to be when lots of folks get together -- life would be boring if we all held the same opinions...), they almost always get resolved fairly amicably; and it's always pretty obvious when people are taking the Michael, rather than being truly insulting.... 
However, I found this article from PC World (the magazine; not the godawful retail chain...) pretty enlightening, and worth reading.... Hopefully, others will, too....
